  The Big Daddy's atmosphere is exactly what we expected from a lakeside restaurant and more. My family and I loved the breakfast buffet, especially the chocolate gravy! That stuff was amazing!

  Really good atmosphere. However, the food is well below par. The chicken wings had cold spots and the hamburger patties were obviously from frozen. Beer selections are minimal and fit for the tastes of a simpleton. If you care nothing for quality and drink selection, and are simple in your tastes, then this place is it. However, if you want quality, Soda Steve's is just 5 minutes down the street. Way better!

  2nd visit under new ownership. The first visit was offered a buffet so we order that and they closed the buffet as soon as we were about to get our first plate. Had to order off menu, so I ordered a subpar hamburger and a apology from owner because he was new. Second visit walked in to the smell of steaks on the grill place was busy so I was hopeful for a better experience. Was never told steaks were on the menu, overhead a black family try to order a steak and waitress told them they don't have steak so idk if they ran our or what that was about. This was at like 645 pm so it's not like it was late or something. So I ordered the Famous Chicken Fried Steak "Best chicken fry on the lake" is what the menu says. I laughed when it came out, it looked like a child size chicken fry. I was hungry so I started to eat it maybe taste made up for size. Guess what, it was a hamburger patty that had been chicken fried! This place is a joke and we won't be coming back and will definitely not recommend. Asked for a paper plate for my kid to color they were "all out" so she got her self her own paper and colors because the waitress was just too busy.
